Burn permits available
Before you burn any debris you need to come
into the fire
house and fill out a burn permit. This helps assure us that you will be burning debris
in a safe and controlled manner. This also allows us
to be aware of burning activity that goes on in the township and
cuts down on the need to respond to 911 calls by passers-by that see
smoke. Periodic inspections will be made of burn sites to verify safe
operation.
Free smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
Through our partnership with the Red Cross, we
are able to offer these detectors to our residents at no cost. We
are happy to install and/or assist with detector placement for any
resident needing help. Smoke detectors for the hearing impaired are
also available.
Free child car seat safety inspection/instruction

We are happy to provide the expertise of a certified child car seat inspector
brought to you by The Injury Prevention Program within the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Trauma Services Department.
Our Jason Davis has been with the program for many years and can show you the safest way to transport your child.
Call 738-1831 to arrange an appointment when he is on-duty. You will need to bring your own car seat.

about the program.
Free Vials of Life
Vials of Life are tubes
containing medical information sheets. The sheets are filled out by
the resident, placed in the tube, and then put in the inside door of your
refrigerator. A Vial of Life magnet is placed on the outside of the
refrigerator. Our EMT's are trained to look for these magnets and
retreive the information in case you are unable to relay the information
yourself. Information sheets should be updated as needed. New
sheets are always available at the firehouse.
Reflective address signs
Green reflective address signs
are available for purchase. Signs can be numbered vertically or
horizontally with an optional arrow. Signs are pre-drilled and easy
to install. We are happy to assist with the installation or
placement of your sign. Signs are $10 each. All proceeds
benefit the Crosby Township Historical Society.
Free home safety inspections/escape plans
You can request an informal safety check
of your home. We will come to your house, do a walk-through with you,
and recommend any changes that may make your home safer. We can also
help your family come up with and practice a fire escape plan. You
can also pick up literature about home safety/escape plans from the fire
house and conduct your own inspection.
Free blood pressure checks
Residents needing to monitor their blood pressure
are welcome to stop by the firehouse for a reading.
These services and more are available
to you by calling 738-1831 or by stopping at the firehouse. Visitors are welcome between
the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, 7 days a
week.
